Damn, this is a great song! I'm glad my videos were able to give you inspiration lol. I don't think it was intentional but one thing I love doing is listening to songs that aren't in 4/4 and figuring out the time signature, which just makes this an even better present than it already was :D

I need to know how you got that bass tone

For crunchier bass that still pokes out in the mix I do the thing where you find a good 1200-1800hz tone and boost the fuck out of it, then duck the guitars in that area.

I don't think the bass is as well mixed as it could be, I only used my monitors when fucking around with it. I kinda forgot to use other headphones to see where all the low tones were landing through different speakers. But it's just the standard Kick @60-65hz and Bass@120-125hz. Boost one , then duck the other.

I actually think I'm sidechaining a dynamic compressor on the guitars/bass for that 60hz kick duck... But I honestly can't remember now, I made this like 4 months ago and I can't remember shit nowadays :P

i can't believe i only found out about this now, this song sounds great! it's really intense, maybe even a bit overwhelming near the end, but it works really well.

[Restriction]

This is a really solid track! The bass growls sound amazing, and I especially love the intro. The lead for the second half is the perfect addition, but it also sounds like it's getting a bit too loud in the second half as well. I think I hear some clipping at 1:18. It might just be me, but it sounds like the song starts to chop the audio a bit. Overall, though, it's a great track!

Nice song! It's simple, but really good. However, it's a bit repetitive imo. It sounds like you copy pasted most of the parts throughout the whole song. There's nothing really wrong with this, but it could be more interesting if you added in some fills at the end of the bars, or switched up the instruments at times. Overall, it's still a great song. Keep up the good work!
